Writing Articles And Ebooks - 3 Tips On How To Get Started With Your Writing
If you have always wanted to write there is no better time than now to get started. I had wanted to write but was discouraged by others. As a result, I did not write for about twenty years. When I started writing articles in 2007 I realized that I could write and that others were interested in what I had to say. I have now written more than 350 articles and I maintain several blogs as well. Here are some tips on how to get started:
- Find a mentor to work with you on your writing. Especially if you are going to write and submit your articles to the article directories, it is a good idea to have someone who can show you the way.
- Keep a notebook handy to write down any ideas you have for your articles. In the beginning I wrote about my dogs, my relationships, and real estate. These were the areas where I had the most experience. After a couple of months I began to focus on writing about ebooks. That is now my niche, so I write every day about how people can write, market and sell their ebook online. You will be naturally drawn to a niche after you get started writing.
- Start a blog so that you will have somewhere for people to go when they finish reading your article. Have a way to ask them for their name and email address so that you can keep in touch with them after they leave your site. People are so busy on the internet that they often forget where they have been.
No matter what you believed or what others have told you in the past, you can write if you want to. Having a mentor to guide you will make all of the difference.
