Tips for Effective Social Networking Part II
3. Be a decent and participative member. If you simply rely on your profile page to attract your target market, then it may take you years to build your own list. That is why it is very important that you become proactive too. You can join discussion groups where you can post new threads perhaps about a topic related to your niche or post a product review in your blog. You may send out personal comments into other peoples profiles. Dont forget to send personal messages, asking them about their weekend or anything mundane. The key here is to build relationships among your viewers and your potential customers. This will also advance you to a more popular user.
4. Give free stuff. Everybody loves the word free, and your friends will certainly like to receive one too. Besides placing promotions into your website, you can also post them in your profile. Skip the bulletins. They are becoming ineffective tools of marketing. Promotions such as this can also boost your number of friends, thus more visibility for you and your business.
5. Get good referrals. It will be easier for you to gain other peoples trust when you work on your referrals. Make sure you inform your friends who are already members of the social networking site to introduce you to their other associates.
6. Invite friends who share the same interest as yours. You can actually begin your own group and lure others to join you. You can choose a category that is related to your business niche. Make sure that you stick to the rules of the social networking website when it comes to creating your group.
7. Always update your websites contents. Once you are gaining popularity, you should keep in mind to always give your viewers and friends new information. Perhaps you can upload new photos of your products, introduce a new promo, or post a new article or product review into your profile page.
8. Advertise your profile page. You can visit other social networking websites, blogs, and forums, and leave the address of your profile page in them. There will always be a number of them who will be interested to know how your profile looks like.
